WELSHPOOL’S Grace Johns was part of the RGC side which slipped to a 35-27 defeat against the Blues in Swansea on Sunday.

RGC played their part in a thrilling Women’s Regions Championship clash which began with the Cardiff side leading through Robyn Wilkins’ second minute penalty

However back came the North Walians who briefly led through Rhodd Parry’s try only for the Blues to muster an immediate riposte with Rafiuke Taylor crossing the whitewash.

The Blues extended their lead on 30 minutes with Molly Philpott going over.

However RGC once again hit back with Elinor Isaac crossing and Iona Evans converting before Jess Kavanagh raced over for a try before Manon Johns burst through for a try with Mollie Williams converting to restore the Blues advantage.

The Blues started the second-half on top with Taylor going over for her second try before completing her hat-trick.

However RGC refused to wilt and and responded with a fantastic individual try from Bethan Davies

Indiscipline cost RGC dear when they had two players sin-binned in quick succession and played with 13 players for eight minutes.

Taylor capped a wonderful individual performance with her fourth try of the game to deliver a killer blow with 12 minutes remaining.

Two minutes later Kavanagh worked her magic once again with her second try of the day giving RGC hope.

However the Blues played down the clock to ensure no way back into the game for RGC.
