Airbus Broughton 5 Guilsfield 0
GUILSFIELD’S miserable season continued with a comprehensive midweek defeat at unbeaten league leaders Airbus UK Broughton.
The Guils frustrated their hosts for half an hour when Asa Hamilton’s right wing cross was headed home by Lewis Buckley to break the deadlock.
Former Guils star Hamilton continued to torment his former clubmates with his pass releasing Ryan Edwards to double the Wingmakers lead after the break.
Guilsfield enjoyed their best spell without testing the home defence and Airbus settled the outcome on the hour with Nathan Quirk firing home from the edge of the area.
James Hooper made an immediate impact after coming off the bench with a cool finish past goalkeeper Mike Jones before cutting inside from the left to complete his brace in injury time.
GUILSFIELD: Jones, James, Weetman, Bromley, Litchfield, Parry, Richards, Ford, Blenkinsop, Harris (Barton), Jenkins. Subs: Andrew, Leonard, Cathrall, Clifton
