JOSH Astley struck twice as 10 man Llanfair United maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a 4-1 win at home to Builth Wells.

Astley had already opened his account when the hosts were reduced to 10 men with Nathan Edgington dismissed for violent conduct.

Despite the numerical disadvantage the hosts continued to carve openings with Toby Evans and Karl Seliaerts going close before the latter doubled United’s lead early in the second-half with a penalty following a handball.

However moments later and the Bulls were back in the game with Sam Williams reducing the arrears.

United restored their cushion on 75 minutes with Astley completing his brace from 20 yards before Toby Evans struck in injury-time.

Meanwhile Richard Davies starred with a hat-trick as Berriew prevailed 6-2 winners and end Radnor Valley’s unbeaten start to the season.

Charlie Humphreys notched a brace with Joe Haycock also netting while the Goats reduced the arrears through Geraint Lloyd and Gareth Davies.

Caersws romped to an emphatic 10-2 victory at Kerry tom maintain their own unbeaten record while closing the gap at the top of the table.

Rhydian Davies marked his return from a short spell at Penrhyncoch with two goals while Phil Jones also netted a brace.

Further goals from Tom Richards, Aled Jones, Mark Edmonson, Elliot Jones, Craig Harris and Lance Jones sealed the points with the stunned Lambs reducing the arrears through Mark Hughes and Matt Mumford.

Llanidloes Town maintained their own pursuit with a comfortable 5-1 win at home to Llansantffraid.

Goals from Llion Jenkins, Dewi Allen and Connor Bird gave the Daffodils a comfortable interval lead before the Saints reduced the arrears through Nathan Prodger but Llanidloes were not to be denied with Gregg Brown and Peter Rees completing the scoring.

Elsewhere Carno celebrated a comfortable 5-1 win at Tywyn Bryncrug with doubles from Richie Evans and Andy Evans inspiring glory.

Callum Page completed the tally with Tom Allen-Davies netting a consolation for the Cormorants.

Meanwhile Bow Street celebrated their first win of the season with a 5-0 victory at home to Churchstoke.

Goals from Ben Jones, Callum Ferriera, Steffan Richards, Dean Evans and Shaun Jones ensured victory and a losing start for newly installed Churchstoke manager Gary Jones.

Aberaeron maintained their own impressive run on the road with a 3-1 win at Welshpool Town on Friday night.

Gareth Severs, Elwyn Edwards and Ifan Burrell netted for the Seasiders with Will Thomas reducing the arrears for the hosts.
