HONOURS ended even at Latham Park as Maesyrhandir and Trewern United shared the spoils in a 3-3 draw in Honda Division One of the J T Hughes Montgomeryshire League.

Goals from Stafford Jones, Tyler McCarthy and Kamal Lloyd-Jones for the hosts were cancelled out as Matt Windsor, Jamie Dockerty and Chris Lewis struck for the Tigers.

Llangedwyn and Llanfyllin Town also shared the spoils in a 2-2 derby draw.

James Broadbent netted twice for the villagers with Carl Patterson and Harry Lloyd ensuring a point for the Magpies.

Meanwhile Graham Dyke top scored with four goals as Trefonen strolled to a 5-1 win at Kerry Reserves in Mitsubishi Division Two while Louis Morris completed the scoring with Craig Neill reducing the arrears.

An Alex Morgan hat-trick paved the way for Welshpool Town Reserves’ 5-1 win at Llanfyllin Town Reserves.

Phil Turnbill completed the scoring with a brace while Aiden Kinnee hit back for the hosts.

Goals from Endaf Owens and Ryan Broadbent earned Llanrhaeadr Reserves a 2-1 derby win at home to Llanfechain with Steve Garnett replying.

Elsewhere Abermule Reserves and Llanwddyn shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw with goals from Dominic Rendell and Dyfrig Rees cancelled out by Iestyn Parry and Ugo Lang.

Honours also ended even at Llanymynech with Mike Whyte and an own goal earning Newtown Wanderers a point in a 2-2 draw while Rob Jones and Callum Whyte struck for the hosts.

Meanwhile Danny Barton helped himself to a hat-trick as Guilsfield Reserves steamrollered Churchstoke Reserves 9-2 in the first round of the Llansantffraid Village Cup.

Harry Garthwaite and Owen Rothwell both completed doubles with Steve Tomkins and Mark Lloyd also on target while Churchstoke replied through Kieran Mulloch and Luis Davies.
