COBRA laid down an opening day marker for the Game on North Wales Women’s League season with a 54-5 derby win over Welshpool on Sunday.
The Meifod side hit the ground running with Gemma Robinson, Catrin Davies and Ffion Williams each crossing for two tries each.
Further tries from Sioned Morris, Jess Andrews and Caryl Hughes completed a resounding win for COBRA with Ellie Davies scoring a consolation try for Pool.
Stand out displays from Adelaide Edwards in the back row and Robinson in the front ensured COBRA celebrated a deserved opening day win.
A new look Pool were led by new captain Lottie Morris and will look to build on their opening day effort.
