LUKE Hicks marked his debut with a double to inspire Builth Wells to a 3-0 win at Welshpool Town on Friday night.

Brad Rollinson completed the scoring as Dylan McPhee’s side toasted an impressive win on the road against last season’s league runners-up in their first season back in the first division.

Elsewhere Caersws and Llanfair United shared the honours in a 1-1 draw at the Recreation Ground.

Both sides carved openings in an entertaining yet goalless first-half with United leading on the hour with Josh Astley converting Ryan McVeagh’s cross.

Caersws were indebted to goalkeeper Luke Evans who denied Karl Seliaerts and Astley while Nathan Edgington fired over the bar as United pressed.

However the Bluebirds hit back to level with 10 minutes remaining as Elliot Jones struck to maintain his bright start to the season.

Berriew celebrated a 3-1 win at home to Aberaeron courtesy of a Joe Haycock double and George Davies strike with the Seasiders reducing the arrears through Dan James.

Goals from Robbie Nicholls and Shane Pritchard earned Llandrindod Wells a 2-0 win at home to Bow Street.

Meanwhile Luke Mumford starred with a hat-trick as Kerry celebrated a thrilling 4-3 win at Churchstoke with Cenwyn Jones completing the Lambs tally.

The Marketmen remained in contention thanks to a Kieran Mulloch brace and Ed Marsden strike.

Elsewhere Llanidloes Town proved too strong for Tywyn Bryncrug in a 4-0 win at Victoria Avenue.

Debutant Llion Jenkins’ strike separated the sides at the break before Adam Worton and Rhys Evans strikes put the game to bed and George Clarke volleyed home a fourth goal in injury-time.
