Penrhyncoch 3 Guilsfield 0

CRAIG Williams maintained his bright start to his Penrhyncoch career with a brace to sink Guilsfield at Cae Baker in midweek.

An even opening saw Andy Ford test home goalkeeper Oliver Fairbrother while Guils goalkeeper Mike Jones was also tested by Liam James.

The Guils survived a scare when Tom Evans’ shot was cleared off his own line by James Parry but it proved only a reprieve with Williams breaking the deadlock following a swift break on 34 minutes.

The second-half had barely begun when the hosts doubled their lead with Josh Shaw converting.

It was all over with 20 minutes remaining with Williams capitalising on Guilsfield’s defensive frailties to complete his brace and a miserable evening for the visitors.
