Buckley Town 0 Llanrhaeadr 2
LLANRHAEADR maintained their perfect start to the season with victory at fellow new boys Buckley Town.
The villagers never looked back after Khyam Wytton rose unchallenged in the box to head home Iain Edmunds’s 12th minute corner.
Eight minutes later Tom Evans picked out player-manager Marc Griffiths to send a looping volley under the bar and double their lead.
The Stags dominated the remainder of the half but struggled to penetrate a well organised Llanrhaeadr defence
The home side’s pressure finally paid off on 65 minutes with Shaun Tinsley lashing beyond goalkeeper Connor Lee from 25 yards.
However Llanrhaeadr weathered the storm and could have added a third late on with Wytton’s low right hand cross just evading a touch from Griffiths but the villagers had already done enough to toast their first win on the road of the season.
LLANRHAEADR: Lee, M Evans, G Evans, Bailey, D Evans, Edmunds, Vaughan, K Evans, T Evans, Whytton, Griffiths. Subs: Graham, Hall, Lloyd
