BUILTH Wells had to be content with a draw at home to Ross in division one of the GB Liners Marches League.
Opener Steve Anderson (95) was joined by Aled Powell (70) in a 167 run third wicket stand with Ezra Tattersall (24) and Richard Galton (16no) helping Builth to 277-8 to defend.
Andrew Tingle (2-65), Charlie Cole (2-58), Adam Davies (2-51) and Angus McIntyre (2-45) shared the wickets for Ross.
McIntyre led Ross’ reply with a top scoring knock of 114 before falling to Arthur Davies (5-42) who also included Cole (31) in his impressive haul.
Eurig Towns (2-72) maintained pressure but Jim Lewis (24) and Keith Flitton (11no) guided Ross to 254-9 and a draw.
Meanwhile Martin Hurst rolled back the year with a top scoring 57no as Builth Wells IIs marched to a 98 run win at Ross IIs in division three.
Jon Corzon (37), Paul Rowe (27) and Ian Morgan (21) helped the Bulls to 183-9 to defend with Cameron Hill (3-28) and Adam Parkes (2-32) the pick of the Ross attack.
Hurst (4-17) starred in reply with support from Ben Cripps (2-29) ensuring Theo Minnie (21) fell with the hosts all out for 85.
