Holywell town 2 penrhyncoch 3

LIAM Doherty was the hero as Penrhyncoch celebrated victory at Holywell Town.

Both sides probed early on before Craig Williams opened his account for the Roosters on 20 minutes by steering home Liam James’ right wing cross.

The lead lasted five minutes before Damian Ketley’s shot deflected off Jon Foligno and into his own net to level before Foligno atoned by firing home Carwyn Jones’ cross to restore Penrhyncoch’s lead seconds later.

Holywell hit back before the break with Matt Harvey’s cross evading goalkeeper Oliver Fairbrother to level.

Both sides created chances in the second-half before the decisive moment arrived as substitute Elian Evans squared for Doherty to poke home the winner with eight minutes remaining.
