Alberbury 92 all out lost to Allscott 96-5 by five wickets

ALBERBURY paid the price for a poor batting display at Allscott.

The visitors were reduced to 39-4 as Wayne Phillips (3-6) struck before Charles Bourne was joined by Lawrence Fletcher in a 42 run fourth wicket stand before being caught for by Richard Benting off Callum Rigby for a top scoring 26.

Fletcher swiftly followed, caught bt Andy Flann off Jason Summers for 12 as Alberbury collapsed for 92 as Summers (3-0) and Rigby (3-22) struck.

Alberbury enjoyed a positive start to their reply with Carl Starling run out cheaply before Flann was caught by James Bird off Sam Morris (1-27) for 13.

However a 56 run third wicket stand between Benting and Summers put Allscott on track before both fell in quick succession with Summers caught by Mike Crawshaw off Myles Thomas for 27 and Benting caught by Dominic Zaza off Fletcher (1-6) for 27.

Thomas completed his 2-31 with the dismissal of Shaun Rigby (13) but could not prevent Luke Thonton (4no) and Ryan Davies (2no) guiding Allscott to 96-5 in the 17th over.
