Guilsfield 224-7 lost to Column 285-4 by 61 runs
GUILSFIELD’S promotion bid was dealt another deny in a 61 run defeat at Column.
Sam Sneyd (105) and Adam Harris (99) proved the damage with the opening pair guiding their side to a massive 285-5 to defend with Dave Court (2-50) the pick of a Guils attack which yielded 40 extras.
David Harris (22) and Jordan Evans (29) opened the Guils reply before Dave Lewis led the middle order before falling to Gavin Hall for a top scoring 60.
Aided by 46 conceded extras the Guils closed on their target thanks to an unbroken seventh wicket stand between Billy West (26no) and Court (27no) before falling short on 224-7.
