LLANFYLLIN Junior Football Club marked the end of its inaugural year with an end of season fun day.

A total of 25 sides aged from reception to Year Six and hailing from the local area’s clubs and schools were represented.

Former Llanfair United striker James Davies was the guest of honour having recently fired JD Welsh Premier side Cefn Druids into Europe.

Organiser Callum Vaughan said: “The day proved a great success. The club would like to thank Llanfyllin Primary school and Llanfyllin Town Football Club for their help as well as all volunteers, parents and especially the teams and players.

“We look to make this an annual event and hope the feedback received from players, parents and coaches will make for an even better fun day for years to come.

“A special thanks to James for giving up his time to support the event.”

The club is looking to increase its number of sides next season with the aim of establishing sides at under 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16.

Anyone able to support the club’s ambitions are asked to contact Calum Vaughan on 07794578122.
