Alberbury 209-6 beat Knockin 108 all out by 101 runs
ALBERBURY proved a class apart in a sensational 101 run thrashing of Knockin.
The visiting side founded their victory on a superb opening to their innings with Charles Bourne (46), Michael Crawshaw (38) and Jordan Zaza (41) in superb form
Jak Jones (2-35) restricted Alberbury’s top order with support from Luke Beckett who added James Wynne, caught by Richard Williams for 17, to his 2-57.
Andrew Wynne (18no) was joined by James Harrap (18) and Myles Thomas (6no) in guiding Alberbury to an imposing 209-6 to defend.
Neil Savage (3-18) led the Alberbury reply with three cheap wickets while James Bird (1-17) also struck.
Dan Evans dug in to offer resistance before departing for a top scoring 38 to Myles Thomas (2-26).
Gary Darlington (20) and Tom Dix (14) offered middle order resistance before both fell to Oliver Corbett (4-6) who swept through remaining tail end resistance to complete Knockin’s demise for 108 in the 32nd over.
