CWMYTHIG Hill near Rhayader hosted its annual extreme hare and hounds event last week.

Hundreds of enduro riders and supporters from across the United Kingdom descended on the course of rocks and logs spread across the of famous Radnorshire hill course.

The event represented third of the ever popular Rhayader Motorcycle Club summer series.

World Championship rivals Josh Gotts and Dan Mundell battled for honours in the professional class with local interest led by Rhayader’s Alex Walton, who ended third overall, and Charlie Evans of Llanidloes.

Meanwhile the expert class was full of the next generation of enduro stars.

Henry Yardley flew in front aboard his 125 KTM in both legs and was followed home by Jack Cadwallader and Max Ditchfield.

James Palmer proved to be the top man in the clubman class, finishing both legs ahead of George Yardley and Gareth Jones.

Chris Thumwood claimed the over 40s win while Jason Rees secured the over 50 title.

Meanwhile young Brecon rider Ben Williams won the first leg in the clubman class and finished second to Trystan Hopkins in the second leg to secure overall victory.
