Alberbury 357-6 beat Market Drayton 81 all out by 276 runs
ALBERBURY proved a class above Market Drayton with Sam Morris starring with bat and ball in a 276 run thrashing.
Jordan Zaza (75) was joined by Adam Lawrence (45) and Mark Jones (52) in a bright opening to the Alberbury innings.
Morris (95no) was joined by Lawrence Fletcher (38no) in an unbroken seventh wicket stand to steer their side to a massive 357-6.
Fergus Meredith (3-67) was the pick of the home attack which yielded a whopping 47 extras.
Morris (3-12) undermined the home side’s reply with early wickets while Andy Holloway (2-14) saw off Somil Damitha Subasinghe, caught by Jones for 10, and Kapila Niroshana Batapolaarachchige, caught by Dan Leach for 17.
Steve Morris (2-16) polished off tail end resistance to leave Mick Allman (22no) and Market Drayton skittled for 81 in the 28th over.
