Montgomery 220-6 beat Ludlow IIIs 103-8 by 117 runs
Montgomery maintained their bright start to the season with a 117 run victory over Ludlow IIIs.
Tom Corfield (40) joined the top scoring Andrew Barker (57) in laying the foundations with a superb opening wicket stand before fell to Adam Bowen who completed his 4-45 with Aaron Ruff-Cock (12) and Ieuan Griffiths (27).
Captain Sam Williams (45) was joined by Charlie Clinton (13) in leading the middle order before both departed to Oli Boulton (2-31) to leave Monty defending 220-6.
Patrick Fletcher (1-13) and Ed Bennett (1-16) struck early in reply before Simon Miles was caught by Williams off Charlie Kinsey (1-24) for a top scoring 19.
Williams (3-25) and Ruff-Cock (2-11) made light work of the remaining middle order to leave Dave Bottoms (14no) and Leon Burnley (14no) to defend the ninth wicket.
