LLANFAIR Caereinion High School has celebrated its sports stars of the past year.
The school’s Year 10 rugby side won the North East Wales title while the Year 8 side ended runners-up and Year 9 side reached the quarter finals of the Welsh Schools Cup.
The Year 7 football and hockey sides were also crowned North Powys champions.
Meanwhile the girls under 14, 16 and 18 sides each won the North Powys title while the under 18s and 14s netball sides also claimed silverware.
The school’s girls under 13s football team also won the North Powys title.
Meanwhile the Year 10 boys and Year 8 girls won the North Powys badminton titles with the latter ending second in North Wales.
The school also celebrated Kiera McVeagh who was crowned the best under 15s indoor athlete in Wales and joined by Sarah Astley, Cian Hanratty, Arthur Powell, Kelsie Websyer, Ellie Phillips, Lwsi Roberts and Emma Williams in earning county vests while also representing Wales in the UK Sportshall Finals.
Meanwhile Hannah Shirley-Smith, Caitlyn Bloor and Rhodri Jones represented Powys in cross country.
