CAERSWS Reserves completed one of the shocks of the season with a 3-1 win over Guilsfield Reserves ending the visitors J T Hughes Montgomeryshire League Honda Division One title bid on Tuesday.

Goals from Reece Cunningham, Connor Stacey and Joel Tranter cancelled a Luke Francis penalty to see Bishops Castle Town crowned champions while giving the Bluebirds renewed hope of survival.

Four Crosses won 4-2 at Llanfair United Reserves with goals from Jamie Evans, Paul Bache, Kyle Wilson and Sean Griffiths cancelling an Ashley Davies double.

Meanwhile Kerry Reserves celebrated a 6-1 win at Llanfyllin Town Reserves to end their Mitsubishi Division Two programme on a high.

Huw Roberts led the scoring with a four goal haul while Tunahan Ongun and Keane Marks completed the scoring for the Lambs.

Bryn Thomas netted a consolation for Llanfyllin.

Elsewhere a solitary Ryan Ellis strike guided Waterloo Rovers to a 1-0 win at Meifod and into the semi-finals of the Boys and Boden Montgomeryshire League Cup.

The Welshpool side lost in the final of the Tanners Town Cup last Friday but Ellis’ strike ensured Rovers remained in contention for silverware this season.
