Caersws 1
Ruthin Town 1
STEVE Blenkinsop’s late winner ensured Caersws final day victory over Ruthin Town on Monday.
The villagers dominated the match only to be frustrated by Ruthin goalkeeper Ryan Goldston who denied player-manager Graham Evans in the early exchanges and set the tone for much of the remainder of the game.
Blenkinsop and Evans continued to be denied by the Ruthin No1 while Tom Bowen also fired over from distance.
Time was running out when Evans rolled back the years with a throughball for Blenkinsop to finally beat Goldston with five minutes remaining.
CAERSWS: L Evans, Parr, Harris, Grant, E Jones, Hughes-Jones, Bowen, L Jones, Watson, G Evans, Blenkinsop. Subs: Rh Davies, McPhee
