NATALIE Powell claimed a bronze medal at the Dusseldorf Grand Slam in Germany.
The Beulah judo star and former world No1 represented Great Britain in beating Holland’s Karen Stevenson by a single waza-ari score to take under 78kg class bronze.
Powell overcame German Maike Ziech and Russian Aleksandra Babintseva before losing to Ruika Sato of Japan in the semi-finals but the Irfon Valley Judo Club star bounced back to triumph in the bronze medal match.
