KATIE Bellerby overcame Steve Degville to become the first ever woman to win a Newtown Premier Darts League game.
The Welshpool based Welsh international overcame Degville 4-2 to earn plaudits and enter the history books.
Bellerby said: “I am thrilled but I was so nervous because I know just how good a player Steve is. I know Steve was off form and that certainly helped me.”
Welshpool’s Robin Shingler continued his rich vein of form with a 4-2 win over Paul Bordewey while Andy Waters held Welsh international Mark Layton to a draw before losing 4-2 to Mitch Butler.
Debutant Ben Bevan celebrated wins over Dave Rix and Ewan Jones while league Leader Sean Barnett remains on top after completing a 4-1 win over Degville.
