ALBERBURY crashed to a 93 run defeat at home to unbeaten Henshalls Shropshire League One leaders Bomere Heath.
The hosts paid the price for a woeful batting display which allowed Heath off the hook having been restricted to 166-9 to defend.
Preston Fletcher (4-14) shone with early wickets of Chris Edenborough (1), Travis Keys (4) and Rob Dean (5) before Henry Preece’s departure for a duck left Heath 32-4.
Matt Jones and Chris Stevens revived Heath with a 57 run fifth wicket stand until the latter was bowled by James Bird (1-16) for 38.
Andy Holloway (3-17) celebrated three quickfire ducks to leave Heath on 96-8 before Andrew Oliver joined Jones in a 51 run ninth wicket stand until his fall to Harrap (1-35) to leave Jones (86no) and Heath to defend 166-9.
Alberbury lost two cheap wickets in reply as Stevens (2-10) made light work of Dan Leach and Jonathan Green before catching James Hearle off Henry Dawson (1-19) for four to leave Alberbury on 27-3.
Wickets continued to topple at alarming regularity as Sam Morris was run out by Henry Preece for six before man of the match Jones (3-22) reduced the hosts to 67-7.
Steve Morris was caught by Keys for a duck before Mike Crawshaw was caught by Tom Ellis for a top scoring 20 and captain Harrap was caught by Preece for 16.
Alberbury’s collapse continued as Ellis (3-17) polished off the tail in the 30th over to complete the hosts demise for just 73.
