LLANFAIR United began their defence of the MP Foulkes Montgomeryshire Cup with a 6-1 hammering of Welshpool Town on Tuesday.
Andrew Hughes starred with a hat-trick while Paul Griffiths added a brace with the rout completed by Josh Astley after Will Thomas had given the hosts a first minute lead.
