NEWTOWN travel to fellow strugglers Bala Town tonight (Friday) with Lee Williams warning his side faced one of their toughest assignments of the season.

The Robins assistant manager insisted the Lakesiders would be prepared with both sides currently scrapping against the drop from the Welsh Premier.

“Bala is not the easiest place to go and play,” said Williams. “They are always physical and well-organised and we will have to be at our very best.”

The Robins have had a fortnight to dwell on their Haverfordwest County heartache when they allowed a four goal lead to slip in 15 minutes of kamikaze football.

“The first hour of the game was the best football I have seen from any team I have been involved with,” said Williams. “Our passing and goals were really exceptional.

“We cannot hide the disappointment of losing the four goal lead but if nothing else it will have taught these players a valuable lesson about killing sides off.

“Haverfordwest should not have had a chance of a comeback but they did and this is something we cannot allow teams to do to us.”

Defender Lee Hartshorn is back to fitness after limping off against Haverfordwest, with the Robins making the trip to Maes Tegid with a full squad.
