GARETH Jones and Carwyn Davies have been appointed as joint managers of Dyffryn Banw.

Jones, known at Tucker, is a former manager of Meifod Ladies’ Football Club, while Davies is to share his managerial duties with playing for the Spar Mid Wales League One side.

The pair succeed Ian Roberts and Gareth Smith who shared managerial duties last season.

Roberts has since been appointed vice-chairman of the Llangadfan club, while club stalwart and goalkeeper Smith will continue as a player.

Meanwhile Banw have parted company with James Turner, with the former Bettws and Abermule defender switching to Spar Mid Wales League One rivals Berriew.

However 23-year-old defender Tom Foulkes has returned to Cae Morfa after an injury ridden season, after originally signing for the villagers from Newtown in 2011.
