THE New Saints bid to pick themselves up from their dejection with a trip to Afan Lido tonight (Friday.)
The Saints were sent reeling 4-3 at home to defending champions Bangor City in a potentially crucial clash at Park Hall last Sunday.
Now just a point seperates the Saints and the Citizens with the two now likely to provide a two horse race for the title.
“We are disappointed with how things went, but we have to take it on the chin,” said Saints’ boss Davies.
“Bangor City are league champions for a reason and we have to hold our hands up and say we weren’t good enough.
“Conceding four goals at home was well below our standards and I expect the players to react by putting another good run together now.
We shouldn’t beat ourselves up though because we have taken 14 points from 18 against the three sides immediately below us this season,” he added.
Afan Lido have endured a testing start to life back in the big time with a lack of goals seeing them struggling for points.
However the Port Talbot-based outfit have a formidable record at their Marstons Stadium and have already taken points of high flying Llanelli this term.
