MIKE Davies has spent the week picking up his side following their opening night draw with minnows Bala Town.

The Saints opened their season account within three minutes last Friday only to allow Bala back into the game before Barry Hogan saw red.

Davies said: “Performance-wise we weren't pleasing at all.

“The goal went in and everything looked great but we just stopped playing so I am very disappointed with the outcome.

“We presented Bala with a golden opportunity to equalise but we had chances to win the game and I think we were a bit unlucky not to actually do that.”

Davies had no qualms over Hogan’s dismissal following an x-rated lunge.

“Barry deserved to be sent off. If you don't stay on your feet then you get punished,” added the TNS chief.

“Now we have to concentrate on picking ourselves up ready for our trip to Port Talbot.”

The Saints have a mixed record against the Steelmen who are once again expected to provide considerable opposition.
