BARE bones Welshpool proved no match for Abergele in their penultimate clash of the season.

Wing Chris Marsh crossed for a brace of tries for the Swordsmen who dominated the game from start to finish, to end their season on a high.

Further tries from James Needham, Hugh Lucock and Joe Lavin were converted by Gareth Evans, with Chris Smith’s try completing the tally.

The match was held up for 20 minutes after Lucock sustained a broken leg for Abergele.

Welshpool mustered replies with full-back Andrew Thomas kicking three penalties.
