JANET Rogers of Sarn is putting her 'best foot forward' and taking part in the annual Across Wales Walk.
The event which takes place on June 21m is organised by Newtown Rotary Club.

Janet is walking in aid of three causes, which need funds and with which she has an association.

The groups benefiting from Janet's walk will be the Friends of Newtown High School, Ponthafren Centre and White Stars Junior Football Club.
Janet, who has children at Newtown High School and in the junior football team, also works as a volunteer support worker at Ponthafren.

Her children, Kieran and Nathan, aim to join her on the walk.

Mandy Thomas, secretary to the friends of the school, said: "We are grateful that Janet feels she wants to support our ongoing fund-raising in this way.

"It is no easy task walking the breadth of Wales – 42 miles – but we hope that she will have time to enjoy the spectacular scenery along the way and wish her, Kieran and Nathan the very best of luck."

The friends are currently looking for new members and anyone interested can contact Mandy Thomas on 01686 670451.
