Llanfyllin's largest employer's 10th anniversary

LLANFYLLIN'S largest employer has celebrated its 10th anniversary.
The company, now known as Stadco Powys, was founded in 1968 as a tool making business under the name of Salop Tool and Fixtures Ltd.

The company moved to Llanfyllin in 1971 expanding its activities into press working and began producing a range of motor panels for the car repair market and became part of the Stadco Group in 1998.

The company presently employs 170 personnel on the Llanfyllin site, targeting markets in the automotive, truck, van and off- road vehicles in Europe, North and South America, Africa and China.

To celebrate the anniversary the company held an open afternoon at the factory followed by a party for their employees and families.

The party, which included entertainment, games and a hog roast took place in the marquee at Y Dolydd.
