THE Royal British Legion is well known for its charitable work and support for former service personnel and their families.
What may be less well known is their support for the armed services personnel of the future.

At the Army Cadet Force parade at the ACF Drill Hall in Llanfyllin, the Llanfyllin RBL chairman David Goodman, president Victor Jones and treasurer Derick Morgan presented the 10th (Llanfyllin) Detachment of the Army Cadet Force with a laptop computer and digital projector to be used for training and the work of the detachment.

On hand to receive this donation were not only the platoon and their o/c, Sergeant Major Russell Morris, but the Powys Army Cadet Force honorary Colonel, Rear Admiral (Retired) Mark Kerr.

The platoon's and the Powys ACF's gratitude for such a generous gift were expressed by Admiral Kerr.
