A THIRD generation blacksmith starred on a BBC TV show in 1957.
Walter Edward Pryce had followed in the footsteps of both his grandfather and father by being the blacksmith in Castle Caereinion.

He began working at the age of 12, and was featured on the television show 'Studio E' on March 9, 1957, where viewers were told about his life and shown around the smithy.

The show was filmed by another local man, Ion Trant of Welshpool.
