THIS week we remember the grand opening of Tre-owen Community Centre in April 1978.
Councillor Mrs Doreen Owen, Mayor of Newtown is pictured cutting the tape to open the new community centre.

Also in the picture are Mr Martin Cavalot, chairman of Tre-owen Community Association and Councillor S. G. Pritchard, chairman of Powys Education Authority.
