THIS week our trip down memory lane shows some of the original Tip-End children from the Garth Owen estate.

The Tip-End of the Garth Owen estate was a popular playing area for children between 1955 and 1970, and now a reunion for anyone who remembers playing there is being organised on June 7 at the Monty Club in Newtown.

This photograph was taken in the early 1960s and shows Raymond Reynolds, Vincent Reynolds, Christopher Bevan, Alan Birch and Keith Humphreys.

The reunion is for people who remember playing on the Garth Owen Tip-End of the estate between 1955 and 1970.

Tickets cost £10 and can be obtained from Brian Jones on 01686 627873 or Joyce Jarman at BJ's Electrical.

* IF you have something you would like to see included in our stroll down Memory Lane, send your pictures to Nostalgia, County Times, 11c Broad Street, Welshpool, SY21 7LE.
