A FORMER Newtown High School student became a fighter pilot with the RAF in the early 1980s.

Michael Bridge enjoyed a successful career with the RAF, but now flies passenger planes to America.

He lived at Brynwood Drive off Milford road in Newtown.

Michael is a nephew to Les and Margaret Bridge, of Garth Owen, Newtown.
