THIS week, our journey down Memory Lane comes courtesy of Andy Bradford, of Leicester, who had family living in Mid Wales many years ago.

Andy found the picture when looking through a box of old photographs that came from his grandfather's home in Trewern and is appealing for County Times readers to help him identify the location and players featured.

He said: "I found the photograph of the football team while looking through a box of snaps that came from my grandfather's old home in Trewern. I think it was taken somewhere around 1910, but would love to know if County Times readers can help me out with what team is featured and also what pub is pictured in the background.

"My family were from Garreg Hill in Trewern and their name was Turner. I also had family in Middletown called Kearn, so the photo could possibly be from around that area.

"If any County Times readers can help identify the pub or remember any of the players, I would be grateful if they could get in touch via the newspaper."

Anyone with any information regarding the photograph can call Andrew Morris on 01938 557339 or email: andrew.morris@countytimes.co.uk

IF you have something you would like to see included in our stroll down Memory Lane, send your pictures to Andrew Morris, County Times, 11c Broad Street, Welshpool, SY21 7LE. Alternatively email andrew.morris@county times.co.uk in a jpeg format.
