A TEENAGE sexual predator described by a judge as showing a “voracious appetite" for sexual activity with young girls, was locked up for four years and three months on Friday.

Kieran Goodwin, 19, of Little Henfaes Drive, Welshpool, was also ordered to register as a sex offender for life after he admitted 32 offences including sexual activity with a child and causing a child to watch an indecent act.

Judge Rhys Rowlands sentencing Goodwin at Mold Crown Court said the youth was a “hefty young man with a voracious appetite for illicit sexual activity with young girls.”

There were seven victims between May 2016 and last September.

Judge Rowlands told Goodwin: "Your behaviour was repeated and it had a very profound effect, not just upon the victims, but also their families.”

Goodwin had been interviewed by police in November 2016 about his behaviour towards a girl a few years younger than him.

Judge Rowlands said: “Thereafter and showing plain arrogance and disregard for the feelings of others, you continued to seek out other young underage girls for sexual activity.”

Judge Rowlands said it was “predatory” behaviour with Goodwin targeting young girls.

“You were out seeking to take advantage of these young girls, custody is quite inevitable,” said Judge Rowlands

Prosecutor John Philpotts said the youth had sent lewd snaps on social media, as well as having sex.

The judge said schoolgirls had been “pressurised” by the defendant.
