FIREFIGHTERS from Welshpool rescued a woman and young girl on Tuesday evening after their car had been trapped by flood water near Pool Quay just off the A483 main road between Oswestry and Welshpool
Welshpool Fire Station’s Swift Water Rescue team have been mobilised at 6:18pm to a car with stuck and used the rescue sled to rescue the pair along with wading poles.
A spokesperson for Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service, (MAWWFRS) said: "On arrival, the firefighters found a woman and a young girl in a car which had left the road, firefighters used a rescue sled and wading poles to rescue the two and escort them to safety before towing the car out of flood water."
