HOWARD Ellis has announced his intention to step down as chairman of JD Cymru Premier side Newtown.
Mr Ellis will step down at Wednesday night's annual meeting, bringing an end a glorious five year tenure.
He said: "It’s the right time for myself that I shall be standing down as chairman but will still be involved with the academy.

"I’ve had some wonderful memories as chairman with my home town club and it’s been a privilege to have taken this role on especially when you look back to who has been chairman of this club.
"Hopefully the new chairman will continue to take this club forward.
"It’s a fantastic club run right at board level with a vast amount of volunteers great supporters and sponsors so thanks to everyone who have supported myself during my time."
