NEWTOWN cyclist Max Bufton is gearing up for the next chapter in his career,
The teenager has signed for the Tofauti Everyone Active team and will also be coached and trained by the Welsh Junior Academy in 2023.
It promises to be a big year for Bufton as he progresses from closed circuit races to road races and becomes part of a racing team.
The team have already offered an opportunity to the youngster to sample racing on the continent when they took him as a guest to race in Belgium in September.
As well as having strong presence in national races next year the team will also be targeting some key UCI races on the continent.

Bufton is looking forward to developing as a junior with his new team and is pleased to have their expertise and guidance behind him as he steps up to Under 18 age grade racing.
He said: "I’ve had a great season racing for cero- cycle division race team in the UK this year.

"I’m really excited to step up to junior and get the opportunity to race UCI races in Europe with an international field.
"Tofauti Everyone Active have a strong junior team with big ambitions for 2023 and I’m looking forward to start racing with the team."
