CAERSWS opened their season with a bang by completing a Nathaniel MG Cup upset at home to Prestatyn Town.
The Bluebirds were handed a wildcard entry into this season's tournament and handed a home test against JD Cymru North side Prestatyn Town.
It was the Seasiders who led after nine minutes with Daniel Atkins rounding home goalkeeper Jack Perry to slot home.
However the Bluebirds soon levelled with Craig Harris turning home from close range after Neil Mitchell squared from the right by-line.
Both sides played their part in a well-contested tie which would eventually be decided on penalties with Perry the hero with the crucial save as the Bluebirds secured a 5-3 victory.

Drew Reynolds opened the scoring early in the second-half only for the home side to level from the penalty spot on 66 minutes with Lewis Reed on target.
However the Daffodils regained their lead less than a minute later with Luke Boundford setting up Connor Bird for his opening goal of the campaign as Llanidloes made the long trip home triumphant.
Meanwhile Penrhyncoch slipped to a 2-0 defeat at home to Buckley Town upon Gari Lewis' return to the Cae Baker helm.
The Stags led through Sam McCormick's 42nd minute strike before Max Moore settled their progress with 10 minutes remaining.
