MATTHEW Higgins toasted another stellar weekend after claiming the Ultimate Kart Championship’s Rotax National Trophy at Warden Law Kart Club last weekend.
It was a tricky weekend with running in both wet and dry conditions but the young racing driver from Trefeglwys still proved equally as competitive no matter the track condition.
The Trefeglwys ace said: “It’s a really positive time at the moment for myself and the team."

The consistent results are testament to the hard work myself and everyone behind the scenes has been putting in whether that be training, the boys in the workshop, my mechanic and the manager’s nailing set ups.
“The season, for the most part, is going as we would’ve hoped with our eye firmly on earning a ticket to World Final’s at the end of the season.
"I’m hoping to carry the same positive momentum into the last few races of the season to secure maximum championship points and achieve our end goal.”
Higgins also came second in the penultimate round of the British Kart Championship and is currently lying third in the championship.
Higgins said: “As for next season, I’m hoping to progress into the professional sports car route with the support of Era Motorsport. We’re exploring various championship options while actively looking for sponsors.”
