A PUPIL from Llanfair Caereinion Primary School will compete at one of Europe’s largest youth festivals in Builth Wells.
Sam Pryce is through to the Urdd National Eisteddfod with his Welsh learners’ individual recital of “Chwaer Fach Newydd” (New Little Sister) for Year Two and younger.
Welsh is Year One pupil Sam’s second language and he’s the only individual competitor from his school.
The talented six-year-old will compete for a place on the stage at the Royal Welsh Showground in Llanelwedd on May 28.
He will join three groups from the school at the Urdd Eisteddfod finals which include the Years Five and Six folk dancers, the Welsh learners’ recital group and the Welsh learners’ sketch group.
