Builth Wells Primary School has thanked a local business for donating towards its new rugby kit.

Captain Siwan Davies and her team mates accepted the kit from Jill Daniel of Headcases Hair Stylists who gave money towards the new shirts.

Headteacher Gareth Cornelius said: “We are delighted to be able to present our new rugby shirts to members of the school team. We are very grateful to Jill Daniel of Headcases Hair Stylists for her sponsorship of the shirts.

“In May, our girls’ team will be able to wear the new kit at the Urdd National Rugby Finals in Aberystwyth and we are sure they will look very smart.’”

The Friends of the School have also fundraised towards the cost of the new kit as the previous kit had been in use for at least 10 years.

Jill Daniel said: “My son, who’s now 20-years-old, used the old kit when he was at school but by now they were huge and baggy. It was time for a change. My son got so much out of sport at the school, it’s nice to give something back.”
