A Young Farmers Club from Breconshire has won the Wales YFC pantomime competition.

Erwood YFC will now represent Wales at the National YFC Pantomime finals at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool on May 5.

The Club will be holding a series of fundraising events to help meet the cost of taking the production of 'Return to Neverland' to the seaside resort next month.

A concert featuring the winning pantomime will be held this Saturday, April 21, at 7pm in the Strand Hall in Builth Wells.

The Club is also looking for sponsorship and items for a raffle or auction.

The small cast of 28 members beat off the opposition from across Wales to take first place with their pantomime at the Princess Theatre in Port Talbot on March 18.

The cast were complimented by the adjudicator on the quality of their dancing and effective use of set.

The production was written and produced by Erwood YFC Chairman, Samuel Powell.

Mr Powell said: "We're delighted to represent Wales at the National YFC Pantomime finals. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for our young members to perform on the Winter Gardens stage."
