Seven and a half years for Llani Fancy Dress rape

A MAN has been jailed for seven and a half years after pleading guilty to raping a minor at Llanidloes Fancy Dress earlier this year.

Alexander Charles Meyer, 25, of Sandford on Thames, and formerly of Llanidloes, was given the sentence at Mold Crown Court on Friday.

The former Llanidloes High School pupil raped the 13-year-old in a churchyard during the popular summer event which attracts thousands.

He was sentenced to seven years for rape, and six months for child porn which was found to be on his computer.
