WELSHPOOL beauty Sarah Rowlands has been selected for the final of the Miss Universe UK Competition.
Sarah, 25, a beauty therapist at Trendi, Welshpool, will compete against 50 other women from across the county in the grand final on Sunday, May 4, at Leicester Square.

Run in association with the Joshua Foundation the competition selects 50 finalists from all of the regional areas, Scotland, England, Northern Ireland and Wales.

Sarah will now raise money for the Joshua Foundation by holding fundraising events, the money collected will fund holidays and experiences for children suffering from terminal cancer. The money helps to get the children and their families out of the hospital environment for a break.

"Getting to the final is fantastic! I am so pleased to get this far and I am really looking forward to the finals day.

"I now have a great opportunity to raise money for a really valuable cause," said Sarah.
