STRANDS Hair Salon has been named as the County Times Salon of the Year 2008.
Strands, which next month celebrates 25 years in business, is based in Crescent Street, Newtown.

Owner Sara Williams is delighted: "I'm thrilled to bits, it's absolutely great news.

"There were quite a few decent salons who were nominated, so to come out on top is great. We must be doing something right!

"I'd like to offer a big thank you to everyone who voted for us."

Sarah, along with staff members Kate, Rachael, Savannah and Kelly, will be going for a pampering session followed by a slap-up meal with wine.
Sarah said: "We've already got our table booked, we can't wait!"
