POLICE have revealed that a woman who died in a car accident on the B4549 at Cholstrey was from Presteigne.

Police say Beatrice Maud Davies, 69, of Presteigne died in the accident, which took place on the Wednesday night, July 2.

A post mortem examination on the body of Mrs Davies has still to be carried out and the Coroner for Herefordshire is expected to open and adjourn an inquest into the death early next week.

Two other people who were involved in the collision remain in hospital with serious injuries, including an 18-year-old from Presteigne.

Police have repeated their request for anyone who saw the vehicles involved immediately before the collision to contact PC Simon Lantos at Hereford Police Team on 08457 444888.
